This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. When you open a page, your browser sends technical data to the servers of Vercel, such as your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request and your browser type. Vercel processes this data on our behalf to deliver the website and to keep it secure. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a working and secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies and does not follow you across other websites. According to Vercel, the following may be recorded with each page view: the time, the page URL, the referring website, an approximate location (country, region and city) derived from the request, the operating system, the browser and the device type. Visitors are recognised by a hash created from the incoming request. That hash is discarded after 24 hours. Page views are not linked to a person or to an IP address, and we only see aggregated statistics. We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

If you email us, we process your email address, your name if you give it, and the content of your message in order to answer you. Our mailbox is provided by Microsoft (Microsoft 365). We keep messages for as long as needed to handle your request and to meet our legal record keeping duties.

We use two service providers that process data for us: Vercel Inc. (hosting and visitor statistics) and Microsoft (email). Both are based in the United States, so data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. These transfers are covered by the data processing agreements of these providers, which include the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission where required. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with anyone else, unless the law requires us to.

Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to your personal data, and for correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of it. You can also object to processing that is based on legitimate interest. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (https://www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
